*I hope everybody had the most wonderful Thanksgiving Break with friends and family. Thank you to all of the special families that helped make the Kinder feast SPECTACULAR!!!
*SAVE THE DATE!
What: Kindergarten Holiday Show
When: Thursday, December 15th at 8:30 a.m
*Classroom Donations: We could definitely use some more treasure box items (dollar tree, Target dollar spot, or anything that doesn’t get played with at home any more). We are also in need of Ziploc bags (snack, quarter, gallon–preferably with the zipper for the quart size).
*Just three weeks left until Quarter 2 ends and Winter Break begins. This week resumes as a normal week, with library on Wednesday and VAPA on Thursday. HW is due on Thursday and recipe projects are due on Friday. You can email those over whenever!
*WE DID IT!! All 24 of us learned our letter sounds!! Congratulations to all! Give a cheer for Deyani, Darian, and Ian!! Just like promised, we are going to have a SOUND party in class to celebrate (when I get my act together)!!
We can’t wait to feast together tomorrow! Just some friendly reminders and some news.
The feast will start at 10:45 and parents are ALL welcome to join us and eat in the auditorium. If you are signed up to volunteer or would like to, arrive around 10:00-10:15. You can come stop by the classroom first and grab all of the items that families brought in. I will have the wagon and my snack basket to load up and we can use that as a transportation system. If you want to drop stuff off in the wagon before heading to the line in the morning, feel free, or follow your child into the Kinder area tomorrow morning and drop it off then.
The children made TWO hats this week. They made a Wampanoag Native American hat and a Pilgrim hat. Today they took home one of those hats. THEY DO NOT NEED TO BRING THAT ONE BACK TOMORROW. They kept the other hat at school, because the one at school is the one they want to wear to the feast tomorrow. If they brought home a Pilgrim hat, they will be a Wampanoag tomorrow at the feast, and vice versa. If you want to dress them up, to match, feel free.
No snack (because it is Friday) or lunch is needed tomorrow because the feast will consist be our lunch!
If you have any other questions, please let me know!
**On another note, HW was sent home today and will be due the Thursday that we get back from Thanksgiving Break (December 1st).
Your child also took home a recipe project to be worked on over the holidays, so check that out as well!!! Happy cooking!
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Break with friends and family!
Download this form to order Jingle Grams. You can make as many copies as you need. Turn in your Jingle Gram order form & money to your child’s teacher or the front office. Student Council will attach a gift to each gram before delivering them on December 15.
Order forms are due on Friday, November 18 before noon. No exceptions because Student Council will be ordering the supplies to make the Jingle Grams after school on Friday.
There are no limits to number of Jingle Grams you can order.
Tomorrow you will see that a few of the homework pages have changed. We will have a Reading Comprehension Page and a Reading and Writing Page. Back in August I sent home a tutorial and login information on how to use the reading program, RAZ Kids. This will now be a mandatory part of the homework. I have attached the login to your child’s homework that they will receive tomorrow. Here is a quick tutorial on how login and directions to follow. In a nutshell, students should start at the lowest level and move up level by level, rather than jumping around. Students should read the books in order in each level. They should always first LISTEN, then READ, and then answer the questions if that applies. Thanks!
Our wonderful Karla has come up with a list of items that would be great for a Tailgating Themed Basket. The completed basket is due the Monday we get back from Thanksgiving Break, November 28th. If you are able to sign up for an item or to bring money, please have the item into our classroom by November 18th (the last day before Thanksgiving Break), so that she has time to put the basket together. Feel free to bring in any of the items as soon as you have them! Thanks for the participation! I know it is a busy time of the year, but I truly appreciate it!

Dear Parents and Families,
On Friday, November 18th, we will have our annual Thanksgiving Feast. We are busy getting ready for this special day by learning about Pilgrims, Native Americans, and the 1st Thanksgiving. Please sign up to donate one of the items on our list. ALL ITEMS MUST BE STORE BOUGHT and ready to be served. Please sign up for an item on your classroom’s google doc which will be posted here below.
In order to make our day a big success we will need lots of help. Please bring your item to the auditorium on Friday the 18th by 10:00, or send in with your child that morning. Our feast will begin at 10:45. It would be great if we could have some help before, during, and after (please do not bring siblings). Please sign up to volunteer on the google doc.

**A HUGE thanks to Paola’s mom, Karla, for taking on the Winter Wonderland BASKET!!! We appreciate you. You will be hearing from her and I soon, on how you can help. The basket will be due the Monday after Thanksgiving Break, so we will need to get any items and/or cash to her before then. Stay tuned!
Speaking of Paola! Look who became our newest SOUND EXPERT this week!! Way to go sweetie pie!!
